An unexpected absence…

Hi everyone!

I’m so sorry that I’ve not been able to write in here over the last week or so, we had another power cut on Saturday night and it knocked out our phone line, which means, for the last 8 days we’ve had no use of our landline, and no internet. Which made things very old school if you know what I mean 😛 So now that we finally have the internet back on YAY! 🙂 I will say that unfortunately I’ve not really remembered anything about what I’ve eaten over the last week. Rest assured though, I have not been slipping into old habits and have been very good and very careful and watching what I’ve eaten and such. Although, there was a day when I did have a pie and a muffin, but in my defense, it wasn’t because that’s all I’ve been eating over the past week, it was more because, that’s what I felt like eating and I couldn’t remember the last time I’d had a pie and a muffin. We can’t be 100% healthy 100% of the time, I’ve got to be able to give myself a little leverage to have some “sometimes food”

However, I will tell you guys what I have eaten today, more for me to remind me of the good habits of writing in here. So here goes nothing!

Breakfast: Banana, Yoghurt (99% fat free) and Muesli, with trim milk. A cup of coffee made with trim milk and a couple of glasses of water.

Lunch: Mexican Style Fried Rice.

Dinner: Rump Steak (cooked in Rice Bran Oil, but drained off after cooking and before eating) with assorted Steamed Veges (Carrots, sweetcorn and sugarsnap peas)

Dessert: One Mini Passionfruit frozen yoghurt. (I only had one left, so I kind of felt obliged to eat it)

As for exercise, doing lots of it whilst the show is on and all that. Lots of very intense on stage dancing, there isn’t a night that I don’t sweat. I have here and there done other things, just to keep myself occupied and not too intense whilst the season is on and before I get back into the exercise programme. I did a massive walk from Vivian St in Wellington all the way to the Train Station and a couple of walks up the hill and back again here and there.

Although I do have some very good news! Last Monday I did my official weekly weigh in. It was on the 24th of June and at that date in time I weighed 79kgs! 🙂 I’m super happy which means that since the 3rd of this month, I have lost a grand total of 5kgs! To document this, I have taken some more photographs 🙂 So I shall put them in and see if you guys can see a difference! 🙂

A rather dangerous time…

Hi there!

I’m so sorry that I haven’t been able to write in here since Wednesday night. On Thursday we had an enormous storm, the worst that the Wellington district has seen for at least 40 years, there was some extensive damage, a bit of flooding and power outages in a lot of areas, including Titahi Bay, it went out about 9ish on Thursday night and came back on again at about 10:30pm last night. The only wish was, when we did eventually get it back, it wasn’t at full voltage, so my landlord had to switch it off again overnight just so we could get it back up to normal voltage. So it looks like I have a bit of catching up to do… let’s see if I can remember everything that I have eaten and such… so, here goes nothing.

Thursday:

Breakfast: Banana, Yoghurt (99% fat free), Muesli and trim milk. A cup of coffee made with trim milk and a couple of glasses of water.

Lunch: BBQ Bacon and Roast Vege pocket (made with Turkish Flat bread) and a 400mL Pump Mini.

Dinner: Fettucine pasta with Basil Pesto dressing (only enough to cover the pasta, not to make it swim in it)

Of course, many many exercises were had at the performance that night, due to the fact that the storm was hitting there was a lot of moving about primarily to keep warm mainly, coz it was so bloody cold!!!!

Anywho, that was the night that the power went out, and it went out for a considerable amount of time, so please forgive me for some of the things I am about to write. Most of the food that I have needs electricity to be prepared, so please, don’t judge me because I really didn’t have much of a choice! 😛

Friday:

Breakfast: Banana, Yoghurt (99% fat free), Muesli made with trim milk. No cups of coffee for me, couldn’t boil the jug, so I was a bit of an angry beaver yesterday.

Lunch: Mighty Angus Burger combo from McDonald’s. We really had no choice but to have lunch out, and I could have had a healthier option, but I really was so cold that I just wanted something hot, so no judging! 😛

Dinner: A piece of cake (yes, really bad I know, but again, had no choice)

Yea, another freezing cold night at the theatre, so lots of moving about again, just to keep warm. You should have seen my face when I got home and saw the fact that we had power. So, I’ll try and do another post tonight about today’s occurrences. Then again, we are having an end of the first week of show drinkies tonight with the cast, so it might not happen until morning. Evening to all my loyal fans (such humility lol!)

Another reasonably short post considering that tonight was the opening night to Witches Of Eastwick so I’m reasonably tired. I’m happy though, I have a good reason to be tired so this makes me happy. I do have a few confessions to make though. Since the Witches season has now started, I’ve had to make a few alterations to my diet and exercise regime. I’ve now decided that during the season I will not be doing my exercise programme. Purely because I don’t want to hurt myself halfway through the season which would suck. Also, on some days I may have to push lunch back to later and not have dinner, but only on some days.

So, anyways, let’s get to it.

Breakfast: Yoghurt (99% fat free) Muesli with trim milk. A cup of coffee made with Trim milk and a couple of glasses of water.

Late Lunch/Dinner: Chicken breast with onions. It wasn’t nearly as good as it sounds 😛

So yea, that’s pretty much it. Including opening night tonight, which actually got me pretty sweaty so we are pretty good on the exercise front. I wish this post could be longer, but there’s really not much more that i can say right now. So, I think I’ll leave it at that. 🙂

We are now in week 3!

Howdy Doody Neighbours!

Be warned I am a tiny bit in a strange mood… I am running on a very very tiny amount of sleep due to Witches, so I have given myself the day off tomorrow which I am most thankful of coz I would really appreciate the sleep! 🙂

At least there is a plus side to this one, It is not yet Midnight so I can’t say that I’ve had to get home at Midnight two nights in a row, so that’s good. It was only a tech run anyway, doing a what we call “cue to cue” for all the lights and sounds and special effects so they can do all their timing… Also… WE HAVE CANNONS! 🙂 No really, we do! 🙂

Anywho, shall I stop lollygagging and say things about my day?

Breakfast: Yoghurt (no banana this morning, ran out, will have to go shopping) and Muesli with trim milk. A cup of coffee made with trim milk and a couple of glasses of water.

Lunch: Fresh Broccoli and Bacon Salad and a 400mL Pump Mini

Afternoon Tea: (it needed to happen, this was the last chance I would get to see Bryce, my boyfriend while Witches is in season, so it needed to happen, trust me.)
A Cappuccino and a Coffee Walnut Muffin from Muffin Break.

Dinner: 2 Venison sausages with steamed veges (broccoli, carrots and sugarsnap peas)

I did the exercise programme once through as per usual, and I do have to say it is getting easier, the burpees are easier to manage and I’m having to stop less in the calf raises and the press ups, so I’m pleased, I must be improving. Like I said, we had a tech run, but we didn’t do a hell of a lot of dancing this time, so, not quite as full on dancing wise as the last rehearsals that we have had.

I have also decided that knowing how fast I’m plowing through this weight loss, I think I might have to do a progress photo next weigh in, I was originally thinking I would do a picture every time I lost 5kgs, and if I carry on the way I’ve been carrying on, then it might be every 6kgs! 🙂

Week 2 Weigh in!

Evening all… or should I say morning…

Yep, I am posting this to you after midnight so needless to say this post will probably be the shortest one yet. Had a very late rehearsal tonight… didn’t start doing act 2 until 9:30 and then we had notes afterwards and things like that so it’s just been really long and tiring and I’m exhausted and everywhere hurts!

So, I’ll just get on with it then…

Breakfast: Banana, Yoghurt (99% fat free), Muesli with trim milk a cup of coffee made with trim milk and a couple of glasses of water.

Lunch: Chicken & Mushroom Microwave Pasta (I think I’ve nailed the correct cooking time… yay!)
One Mini Passionfruit Frozen Yoghurt (yes, I’m certain that it was Mini… so it was little, and no it wasn’t an ice cream)

Dinner: Venison Back Steak with steamed veges (Broccoli, Carrots and Sugarsnap Peas)

Also… once through the exercise programme as per usual plus tonights rehearsal so there was a lot of dancing involved and stuff like that.

So, let’s hear it then the results of week 2 weigh in!!! 🙂

This week I have lost…

… 2 Kilograms!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

I’m super surprised that I’ve lost another 2! That’s so amazing I’m so happy, so I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing and that will be fine. So grand total of weight lost thus far is a grand total of 4 kilograms!

GO ME! 🙂

Sunday! One more sleep til week 2 weigh-in…

Good Evening earthlings!

If I was tired yesterday… I have no idea how to explain how I’m feeling now after a massive 10 hour rehearsal for Witches… I am positively pooped! 😦 My feet are KILLING me so I have sent a distress signal out to friends and family who may be in possession of a foot spa, coz let’s face it, after the show I’d quite like to keep my feet. One might say that I’m attached to them 😛 teeheehee. So yea, because of the massive day, we all put in for a pot luck lunch… I’ll do my best to remember what it was that I ate, but I remember trying to make very positive choices about what it was that I picked for lunch, so I hope it’s ok! 🙂

Anywho, shall we?

Breakfast: Banana, Yoghurt (99% fat free this time) Muesli with Trim Milk. Plus a cup of coffee made with trim milk and a couple of glasses of water.

Lunch: Hmmmm… let me see… Chicken and Walnut Club Sandwich, Mini Quiche, Chicken, Savoury Scone, Rice Noodle salad and… Chocolate Cupcake (don’t panic, it was just the one, I didn’t have any other sweet things though so I think I was ok, plus, I didn’t have any chips or stuff like that either.)

Dinner: Mushroom and Mascarpone Soup

So there you go, I think I did well. I didn’t think there was any need for me to do the exercise programme, especially considering that todays practice was a whopping 10 hours long. I got there early so I could be all ready to go by 9am. Unfortunately we had to hang around and wait to start and we didn’t get started until 11am which annoyed me slightly, but what can you do?

I also have our very last rehearsal for Witches tomorrow night, I don’t know what time we will be done, so I will do my darnedest to make sure that I try and jump on the scales before I head off to bed, depending on what time we get done tomorrow night, I hope it’s not too late. If this week was anything like last week, I would have lost another 2 kilos! 🙂 It doesn’t matter if I haven’t though, I hope I’ve lost one though! 🙂

Soporific Saturday…

Hiya!

I don’t know what it was about today, but I was so completely shattered today and I have no idea why… I hope it’s not a sign that I’ve been overdoing it, I hope not, coz I don’t even think I’ve been overdoing it. In fact, I think I could be doing more, but never mind what I think. Very low energy from the second I got out of bed which is quite worrisome and I hope it doesn’t continue over to tomorrow because I have a humungous day tomorrow and I have to work very hard and there’s just no time to be tired to be honest.

So shall I just tell you what I’ve been up to today?

Breakfast: Yoghurt Muesli and Milk with a cup of coffee.

Lunch: 2 venison sausages in bread and 2 pinwheel scones

Now, I do have to tell you that after I had done my exercises I was so unbelievably tired that I just did NOT have the energy to cook anything for dinner… so think what you like about this next entry…

Dinner: Potato chips… yep… I slipped up a little… but we are all human and I will make up for it tomorrow… at least I did me exercises today! 🙂

So yea, I did my exercises as well, I sweated more than usual during the whole ordeal… my skin has also blown up. I don’t know whether it’s just a stress break out because opening night is within sights (on Wednesday to be exact) or because my period is coming pretty soon.
