Enthusiasm Renewed :)

Evening everyone!

I hope we have all had a splendid day! 🙂 I did, it would seem that I accomplished many things today so I’m very proud of that, not only is this exercising adventure making me feel amazing physically, it’s also sparked something up in my mental compartments coz I’m feeling on fire and brainy and all that jazz. I managed to draft a write up of my assessment brief for my end of year performance assessment. That was interesting… it got the wheels and the cogs churning away in my head and I think my tutor is happy with the end result. I really really hope that I can smash this into smithereens and pass this year and finally graduate. It’s about bloody time if you ask me! 😛

Anywho, shall I divulge?

Breakfast: Banana, Yoghurt (99% fat free) and Muesli made with trim milk. Also a cup of coffee made with trim milk and a couple of glasses of water.

Lunch: Sausage Roll and Apple Donut (well… when you’re poor… you eat terribly, but they were small so I guess that’s a bonus)

Dinner: Sirloin Steak with Microwave Steamed Veges (Carrots, Broccoli and Beans)

I didn’t realize how much money I DIDN’T have so I did have to do the cheap and slightly nasty route, luckily I bought some of the smaller items in the shop so I didn’t feel quite so bad. I should have bought a salad or something but if I had done that, I wouldn’t have had any money left over for a bus ride home.

Anyways, on the exercise front I did twice through of the programme and it’s getting really really good and it’s getting a lot easier and I managed again to do 60 star jumps in 60 seconds. I’m getting to really love it, I actually like getting sweaty and hurting like no one’s business. I feel better for it afterwards 🙂 Also, there might have been a bit of wiggling around after dinner for the hell of it, I really like music and I can’t help having a wee jive when I’ve got the iPod going.

So all in all, a very good day I think 🙂 Have a wonderful evening!

Oh Bloody Hell…

I’m so sorry that I’ve been so distant of late, there were a few technical issues… My laptop had some issues trying to charge so my laptop was a bit flat for a couple of days and then when I got back home after the holidays my laptop had a bit of issues connecting to the WiFi but it’s ok, it got all sorted out today. So yea, I’m very sorry about that, but I’m here now. So, let’s get back down to business shall we?

Now, I can’t really rattle off a week or so worth of stuff that I’ve done, but rest assured, it hasn’t been too terrible, and I’ve been very good and very healthy so I guess that’s a bonus 🙂

Anywho, I’ll get on with todays stuff…

Breakfast: Banana, Yoghurt (99% fat free) and Muesli made with trim milk. Also a cup of coffee made with trim milk and a couple of glasses of water.

Lunch: Chinese style Microwave rice.

Dinner: Sirloin Steak with Microwave Steamed Veges (Sweetcorn, Carrots and Broccoli) Had to cook the steak in an enormous amount of oil coz of the stupid pan… but I did drain off the oil at the end of cooking and before I ate it.

So, exercise wise I did twice through of the programme which is great, it’s getting easier and I think I’m getting stronger which is making it easier. I achieved something today too on that front, I managed to do 60 star jumps in 60 seconds… So I’m super pleased with myself about that! 🙂

I’ve done 2 weigh-ins since our wee glitch I did one on the 30th and one this evening so here are the results…
30/07/2013: 78kgs
05/08/2013: 77kgs

Which can only mean that I’ve lost another 2 kgs! YAY!!!!! 🙂 I’m super pleased with myself about that! Which means that in a little over 2 months of doing this I’ve lost a grand total of 7kgs doing well I think! 🙂

What a spoilt little girl!

Hi guys!

How are you doing? I’m fantastic… I had a really lovely day today! We went out to the city today, we had planned to spend some time with my younger sister, so we drove out to her apartment and picked her up and took her to lunch. We went into Newmarket to have lunch, now, even though I was born and raised in Auckland I’ve never actually BEEN to Newmarket, I’ve been driven through it many a time, but there hasn’t been any significant time spent in the place on my part. So that was quite fun for me, we went up to Nuffield St, where there are quite a few eateries about the place. We found one aptly named the Nuffied St Bistro, so we had a lovely lunch there. Afterwards we had a wee wonder around the shops and things and I wore my new outfit with my cool new moto pants and my beautiful blue top and the boots that my Grandma had bought for me. We were still keen to find me a pair of jeans as the majority of my jeans I have are all rather useless now considering that I’ve lost weight 😛 We went to Glassons, which of course was a lot more upmarket than the one that I’m used to going to in Albany, and I scored a lovely pair of dark blue skinny jeans along with a belt and a really gorgeous green cardi. Mum even bought herself a merino top, it looked lovely on her, I can’t really wear merino as it just makes me itch like no ones business. My sister tried on a million things but nothing didn’t seem right, so we ended up buying her a whole new outfit at another shop.

I think that’s enough of that, shall I get on with it shall I?

Breakfast: Yoghurt (99% fat free) Muesli made with trim milk and a cup of coffee also made with trim milk.

Lunch: Grilled Chicken Salad (it had all sorts of yummy things in it like kalamata olives and chorizo and crunchy new potatoes, it was delicious!)

Dinner: Small portion of Lasagne.

I also have to confess, that during the course of the day I consumed a grand total of 4 glasses of wine! GASP! I hope it doesn’t continue tomorrow! As for exercise, we were out pretty much most of the day and we stopped off on the way home to see Grandma for a wee bit so we didn’t get home until after 5pm and I didn’t get round to doing my exercise programme, but I did a lot of walking about the shops and things like that.

I think that’s quite enough of that for tonight! 🙂 Have a good night folks! 🙂

Poor Mummy was home sick today…

Howdy folks!

Yes, my poor Mother was full of a cold, didn’t feel too well yesterday either so told her boss that she wasn’t going to come in today. So, when I went upstairs at about half 8 I found her in her bed reading a book with the cat curled up next to her. She read that book most of the day actually. Although, we did go on up the road with my Grandma, mainly to have coffee and lunch, Mum didn’t think she was going to last too long, but she did and rewarded herself with a nap when we got home.

So, it was a nice day, relaxing day of doing nothing much. Although she did have to unfortunately witness the great ordeal of me doing my singing practice, she was ok with it, she just read through the whole thing. Although sometimes in between songs she would stick her head up and say something like “very nice”. I do love my Mummy dearest. She’s having tomorrow off also, but that was already decided before she felt unwell. We are going into the city to have lunch with my sister and also continue on our quest to help find me a pair of jeans! 😛

Anywho, I’ll get down to business…

Breakfast: Yoghurt (99% fat free) and Muesli with trim milk and also a cup of coffee made with trim milk.

Lunch: Ham and Tomato Quiche with side salad and a trim Cappuccino with cinnamon.

Dinner: Fresh Terakihi fish (homemade batter) with a few chips and leeks.

So, overall a very good day eating wise. Same thing as yesterday with the exercise, twice through the exercise programme. It wasn’t quite so hard as it was yesterday, but it still wasn’t easy, afterwards it felt great to have gotten so sweaty and so puffed, it felt like I had accomplished something.

So that’s goodnight from me and it’s goodnight from him! 🙂

Interesting day…

Yes, I think that’s a fitting title to what sort of day I had today… Was quite funny actually.

Found a Weta in my room… by almost standing on it… I was so terrified of it that I texted my Mother for help, she told me to put a glass over it and wait until someone came home. That happened, and we came to the realization that the weta had been dead for many hours. We think it may have climbed in my bedroom window sometime during the night or very early in the morning, and then dying BEFORE I stood on it! 😛 So, R.I.P. Weta, even though I’m deathly terrified of them and I’m sure that they’re not supposed to be insects at all, that they are dinosaurs in disguise! 😛

I also managed to do another 2 hours worth of singing practice which was really good, considering that I’d had about a week off after Witches ended, I needed that rest, but it was good to get back into it, start some proper practice, especially on the songs that I have to learn from scratch, just a tiny bit daunting but I’m sure I’ll get there, still got til November so I’m hoping that I’m going to be fine! 🙂

Anywho, shall I confess?

Breakfast: Yoghurt (99% fat free) and Muesli made with trim milk and a cup of coffee also made with trim milk.

Lunch: 5 Salada crackers with vegemite and cheese (it would have been tomato and cheese, but couldn’t find any tomato, luckily I got told where they live now, so I don’t have to resort to vegemite 😛 )

Dinner: Beef Honey Soy Stir Fry with a small amount of rice

Afterwards I had like 2 squares of that new L&P chocolate and a cup of coffee made with trim milk.

I got back into doing my exercise programme today, and as promised I did 2 repetitions of the programme. Phew! It’s bloody hard work but I had to plough on through and I hope it will get easier the more often I do it, I think that’s the secret, to just keep doing it. And so I will! 🙂

Have a wonderful night people! 🙂

The adventure continues…

Hi all!

I’m so sorry about last night… I just got so caught up in seeing all my family again that we had a few drinks and a few laughs and I pretty much just ventured off straight to sleep last night without even a glance at the old laptop… Oh well, never mind this post will just have to feature the last 2 days worth of eating… AGAIN! I know, I’m sorry I’m getting slack on it! I have to get better at this and learn to not let things get too distracting again.

Although, I do have to report on some good news! It appears that I’ve lost enough weight that I can go shopping in skinny lady shops! YAY! I found that out today, although, it is still the size large, but, it’s the size large from places like Dotti and Forever New, which don’t normally cater for anyone much bigger than say a size 14… Which it appears I am now! YAY! 🙂 Also, have gone down a whole size in bra! Not just the cup size either… a whole size! So, in January when I had gone down a cup size I was then going down to a 16E I am now a 14E I’m so excited! 🙂

Anywho! I shall divulge on the last 2 days…

Breakfast: Yoghurt and Muesli with a cup of coffee

Lunch: Gluten Free Sweetcorn Fritters with a side salad and a rasher of bacon

Dinner: Tandoori Chicken with Couscous broccoli and cauli flower.

As for exercise, didn’t really get a chance to go through the programme now that I’m at Mum’s house, although we did lots of walking around the shops! 😛 I just hope that counts!

Breakfast: Yoghurt (this time it was 99% fat free) and Muesli with trim milk, and a cup of coffee made with trim milk.

Lunch: Chicken, Cranberry and Brie Trammazino (sort of like a panini almost…) with a trim Cappuccino.

Dinner: Roast Rack of Lamb with roast veges (potato, pumpkin, kumara and parsnip) with broccoli and cauli flower.

Although, we did have my Grandma over for dinner so there was another couple of glasses of wine involved, and a cup of mulled wine! 😉 She also brought around these mint chocolate sticks… I had a grand total of 2! I as quite pleased with my willpower! 🙂

Exercise, pretty much the same as yesterday, walking a lot around the shops and stuff, it can get quite tiring after some hours doing that. I think I’m doing well now, I think I have the motivation that I need to get me back into the swing of things! Looking forward to losing the next 5 kilograms!

Have a good night! 🙂

And the weekend starts here…

Hi everybody!

How are you all today? I’m fabulous! Very much looking forward to seeing my Mum and everyone else up in Auckland tomorrow… 🙂 I would really like to see them all haven’t been up there since January… I wonder what’s changed up there? Maybe quite a lot coz that’s like, almost 7 months worth of changing time. It won’t surprise me if nothing has changed… especially on the Whangaparaoa… things are quite slow moving up there, a bit behind the times as it were. Oh well, I can’t say anything bad about it really, I grew up in that place so I have to respect it. My Grandma and a few of my Aunties are up there too so it would be nice to catch up with them too, as well as some of my girlfriends from school too! 🙂 Anywho, this entry doesn’t need to be as long as the past ones have so shall I get on with it?

(cheeky Monty Python reference)

Breakfast: Yoghurt and Muesli and a cup of coffee.

Lunch: 3 bacon cheese and corn savouries. (Not a very large lunch, but that’s ok, I was bloody hungry though, so I just sort of had to let myself ride it out)

Snack: 4 crackers and cheese with tomato with a cup of coffee. (The ubiquitous Friday afternoon snack ritual with the Perkinses, 🙂 He stayed quite long tonight so I didn’t really get enough time to slip away and do my exercises AGAIN! I’m just going to have to be a lot stricter about things like that)

Dinner: 1 piece of fish, 1 crab stick and a few chips with tomato sauce. (Not the most healthiest take away options, but apparently everyone wanted fish and chips for dinner… sadly, I was the only one who could afford to pay for it, so, that was my lot for dinner)

As for exercises, I did tell you about the evening situation and the afternoon tea thing, but I did work up a bit of a sweat doing the vacuuming, so I hope that could count for something, like I said before, I’m just going to have to be stricter and more disciplined with myself.

I think that would do for now! Have a lovely evening! 🙂
